How to remove the barrel bands on a Mosin Nagant M44?
I just put my M44 in a Reserve ATI ID now all want to know is how I remove the barrel bands.
Unable to get the tapes away, bayonet, beyond the fold? Note that divides the bottom of each strip. Slide the upper band of wood in the barrel of a small fire. Pull each side of the band by far one of enlargement the division until you can take the barrel. You can do this with 2 pairs of pliers, while someone with a gun for you. Repeat operation with the lower band. Note that dividing the drag strip around the barrel is susceptible to scratching.
